Ang Cruz
BOARD SECRETARY
Ang Cruz (they/she) is an award-winning multimedia journalist and filmmaker. They’re a Hollywood Foreign Press, NBC Universal, and LA Film Critics scholarship recipient and have worked with non-profits such as Outfest and Young Invincibles. Ang currently works as a Communications and Graphic Design Lead for Cal State Fullerton's Diversity and Initiatives Resource Centers. In their spare time, they are a freelance writer, editor, and designer for various outlets and independent magazines. They aspire to continuously work on projects that have to do with storytelling, art, activism, and healing.

Jason Tostevin
BOARD TREASURER
Jason Tostevin (he/him) is a brand and communications executive who's led creative teams at major specialty retailers, agencies and nonprofits. He is also a writer and film director whose short genre work has been screened and awarded at festivals around the world and featured on Short of the Week, ALTER and in the New York Times. Jason is the co-founder and programmer of bellwether Nightmares Film Festival, which has been named one of the world's best genre fests five times and is ranked by filmmakers number two overall among FilmFreeway's 9000 festivals. Jason lives in New Albany, Ohio with his wife Christy, his kids, Avery and Lily, and their pitbull mix, Milo.

Van Ward
BOARD VICE PRESIDENT
Van Ward (They/Them) was recently staffed on Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic THE WITCHES for Netflix. Prior to that, they were staffed on DEATHBED for Roku/WBTV with My-So Called Company producing and were a CoProducer on RING SHOUT for Netflix, starring Kiki Layne and directed by Kasi Lemmons. Van came up on CRUEL SUMMER for Freeform and wrote on Seasons 1 and 2. Produced by Jessica Biel with eOne, Cruel Summer became Freeform’s most watched series ever. On the film side, Van’s original film "Alpha" was selected for the inaugural Sundance Trans Initiative and is being developed by Lilly Wachowski at Anarchists United.

Sav Rodgers
BOARD PRESIDENT
Sav Rodgers (he/him) is an American filmmaker, writer, and pop culture documentarian.
Sav’s debut feature Chasing Chasing Amy explores the complicated legacy of Chasing Amy (1997) and its profound impression on his life. In 2018, Sav gave a TED Talk on the subject, appropriately titled, “The rom-com that saved my life.” The film had its World Premiere at 2023 Tribeca Festival. Sav was awarded the Cleveland International Film Festival’s DReam Maker Award for pioneering LGBTQ+ filmmakers for his work on the documentary.
Named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2024, Sav is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Transgender Film Center, a nonprofit aiming to help trans creators bring finished films to audiences around the world. In 2025, Sav and the Transgender Film Center received the SXSW Community Service Award for Film & TV.
